CHAMPION CITY RUN 2010 - This year we are so excited to announce that we will be running to raise funds to stop human trafficking. Many people don't realize how many people are effected by human trafficking. Believe it or not, it is not just an international problem - it's local, too. Champion is joining forces with Live2Free.org, an organization that networks with others to rescue, rebuild and restore broken lives of victims worldwide..Join us NOVEMBER 13TH and YOU can help make a difference! This event is for EVERYONE - runners, sponsors, volunteers, your neighbors and your friends. We need as much support as possible - join us to stopping human trafficking, one step at a time.
This will be our 3rd annual run in partnership with the city and businesses of Yuma, Arizona. Each year Champion teams up with the community to raise funds for causes that impact the the city such as the Yuma Food Bank, and Amberly's Place (for women and children in crisis). We are joined by individuals, businesses, clubs, special organizations, and more to support these worthy causes.
Runners love the Arizona desert weather in November. Its the perfect atmosphere for a 1/2 marathon. Our course is supported by all local authorities who work with us to insure safety and a smooth running race. Professional timekeepers monitor the runners and winners are awarded trophies and prizes.
The Champion City Run of Yuma is well organized and a great event to be part of. Runners come from all around to participate in this exciting race and support the important causes we embrace.
