Leaders Are Willing To Be Molded
Isaiah 64:8 “Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Leaders have a difficult task… In this life there are many ups and many downs. Many opportunities to have a good perspective and many opportunities to have a bad perspective. Nonetheless, God is ultimately the one in control. During my devotional this morning (before the crazy morning rush to get dressed, make coffee, iron, clean, do my hair and makeup and make sure there’s enough gas in the car) I had five minutes to read a quick glimpse of God’s Word.
My morning daily devotional was all about when Paul (was in prison and he found out that others were preaching the Gospel out of bad motives in order to put his name to shame. Typically, in this day and age, if we found out someone was purposefully going out of their way to put our names to shame, we would react with a bad attitude or a mouthful of witty things to say. But surprisingly, Paul responds with “But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice.” (Phillippians 1:18).
Today is Wednesday…it’s the middle of the week. Perhaps you’ve already got your foot in a hole with someone at work or at home. BUT!! THE WEEK ISN’T OVER YET! Here’s a few points to keep in mind…
1. WHETHER OR NOT SOMEONE SLANDERS YOU…YOU’RE STILL A CHRISTIAN AND YOU STILL BELONG IN THE FAMILY OF GOD!
Listen up Leaders: Your identity in Christ is (believe it or not) based on your faith and love for (1) Christ (2) Others. So… Throw all your old goals aside today and focus on LOVE.
2. FIND A REASON TO REJOICE IN THE GOOD IN OTHERS
Even if you can barely see any at all! Listen up Leaders: Romans 12:9 says, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” Hey…if someone drives you nuts every 9 times out of 10….rejoice in the 10th!
3. KEEP PREACHING CHRIST AS THE MAIN GOAL!
Listen up Leaders: Your job on this earth is to let God mold you in and out of every moment and every situation to best shine Christ’s light. So, let God mold your heart, your thoughts and your words today and PREACH CHRIST!
Blessings over your day, your families and your loved ones. XO!
All the Best,
